More busy than expected

Well, I'm dropping in here while I wait for my photo editing machine to trudge through the first stage of developing the 700 pictures I took at the Obama event last night. I work in RAW, so there is a process to getting web usable photos. It's been trudging along for about 2 hours last night and about 3 so far today and it still has about 100 pictures to go through. And they aren't even edited yet, except for just a couple that I played with like the one below.

Because of when it got finished, I was 30 minutes late to my gaming group friday night meet.
I'll be busy with these photos and the other photogallery I am going to be working on for the next couple days or so.

On the side note, I have decided to get back into developing the Clashlands, but it's not going to be d20... I haven't decided on a system yet. Might be TAGE, might not. I have decided on the way I am going with TAGE, though. It gets the free, no frills, art free version of the playtesting/intro version I'll put up on here. Then I plan to do the latest fad thing of putting together a nice PDF to sell a cheap playtest version. After that, for my further development of the rules I am going to work the Core Rulebook and the first setting I have planned side by side.

So what might that first setting concept be? Well, I haven't really thought of a name for it yet, but I definitely know what I want. It's a cross of a few popular genre. I'd call it Jules Verne style Steampunk meets Deadwood style western in a low fantasy setting where high magick exists but it's witch burning season and magick is NOT appreciated by the masses because of the nasty problems it seems to cause.

In addition, there are two side projects I got bubbling in my publishing ideas. I'm thinking stock art just to get myself back into the practice of drawing but it won't be anything quick anytime soon. I'll have to see how good my follow through is with that one, and how permitting my time is with photo-season coming back on. I mean, early July, I won't be able to work on publishing at all, and will be lucky to post blog entries as I'll be involved in the Oregon Country Fair, with my cameras. Oh, and the other idea are idea seeds and sample random charts for assorted genres in system independent event generation around various situations of trouble a character may get themselves into despite a GMs best efforts to discourage it. Not saying more now, but I'm having fun with the brainstorming.

So, that kinda wraps up this post. While I've been writing it, those last 100 pictures have finished the first pass of processing and it's ready for me to get hands on again.
